Is Avery Dennison PPF the same as STEK?

No. Avery Dennison's paint protection films are sold as Supreme Defense. STEK sells its own DYNO range with its own warranty and registration rules. Ask the installer which brand and which film they are quoting.

Should I choose Avery PPF if my installer already fits Avery wrap?

It can be a sensible choice if you are combining a colour-change wrap with paint protection at the same installer. For a protection-only job, compare the Avery quote with at least one other film on the same panels. Check the warranty terms for each, including whether they transfer if you sell the car.

Does Avery make a matt paint protection film?

Yes. Avery Dennison sells Supreme Defense Matte, which has a self-healing top coat and a 7-year warranty. Confirm the exact film with your installer before booking if a matt finish is what you want.

Avery Dennison is the wrap-vinyl giant — Supreme Wrapping is on more cars in the UK than any other coloured vinyl. The Surface Protection Film range is a side product, and most premium PPF installers don't carry it.

The warranty, honestly

7-year limited warranty, shorter than the premium PPF brands. Better understood as a wrap-shop add-on than a flagship paint protection choice.

How to verify an installer

Avery's Certified Wrap Installer programme exists but is wrap-focused. If an installer is offering Avery PPF specifically, ask what they use for premium briefs — most reach for XPEL or SunTek.

The Avery Dennison read

What the brand actually is, what it makes, where it sits in the UK, and which buyer it suits.

Avery Dennison is an American materials company known for vehicle wrap vinyl. Its paint protection films are sold under the Supreme Defense name. An installer who fits Avery wrap film may also offer its paint protection film, so ask which product is on the quote.

Films

The films, broken down

Avery Dennison sells three Supreme Defense films. Supreme Defense Gloss is an 8.0 mil film with a self-healing top coat and a 10-year warranty. Supreme Defense Gloss Lite is a self-healing, hydrophobic clear film with a 7-year warranty. Supreme Defense Matte has a self-healing top coat and a 7-year warranty.

UK market position

Where Avery Dennison sits in the UK

Avery Dennison's warranty document covers manufacturing defects such as adhesive failure, bubbling, cracking, peeling, delamination and discolouration. It extends to the original purchaser only, is not transferable, and is void if the film is fitted over repainted or aftermarket-painted surfaces. Avery says dealers cannot change or extend it. Our PPF cost guide uses prices published by UK installers; get two or three quotes for your car.

Who picks it

Who should pick Avery Dennison

Avery Supreme Defense suits buyers who are already using an Avery wrap installer, or who want a colour-change wrap and paint protection from the same place. If the car has had paintwork, tell the installer first, because the warranty does not cover film on repainted surfaces. Compare the quote with at least one other film on the same panels.
