Is STEK DYNOshield better than XPEL Ultimate Plus?

Both are clear paint protection films with long manufacturer warranties. STEK's warranty document gives 12 years for its DYNO films, which may vary by region and depends on maintenance conditions. XPEL gives ULTIMATE PLUS ten years. The terms differ more than the headline numbers suggest, so read both warranties and compare the installers quoting you.

How long is the STEK DYNOshield warranty?

STEK's warranty document gives 12 years, which may vary by region, with maintenance conditions. The film must be fitted by an authorised STEK installer and registered on the STEK ONE platform within 30 days. STEK also asks for a paid annual inspection by a STEK Certified Installer and use of STEK PPF Care Solution. STEK's US site lists 10 years for DYNOshield, rising to 12 with its Final Coat, so ask which terms apply to your car.

How do I verify a STEK installer?

Ask the installer to register the warranty on STEK ONE and to show you the activation email STEK sends to your registered address. STEK says the warranty is not active until you click that link. If the installer cannot register the film, the STEK warranty will not apply.

What is the difference between STEK DYNOshield and DYNOmatte?

DYNOshield is a clear gloss film. DYNOmatte is a matte finish that changes the look of gloss paint while still protecting it. The choice is about appearance. Ask the installer which warranty terms apply to the film you pick.

The supercar choice. STEK has the strongest boutique reputation of any film brand in the UK and is over-represented on McLaren, Pagani and limited-run Porsche builds. DYNOblack and DYNOmatt finishes are why people specifically ask for STEK.

The clear flagship — gloss, ceramic-infused topcoat, near-invisible application.

The warranty, honestly

10-year warranty on DYNOshield. Coloured and matte finishes have shorter warranties — typically 7 years on DYNOblack. Worth asking the installer to spell out which warranty applies to your spec.

How to verify an installer

STEK's UK Pro Installer programme is small — under 30 names. If the installer is not on stek-usa.com/find-installer, they are buying film through a distributor without certification.
