Is the XPEL paint protection film warranty transferable?

Yes, with a condition. XPEL's warranty for ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH runs for ten years from the date of installation and covers defects such as yellowing, cracking, blistering and delaminating. It transfers when the new owner sends XPEL proof of the original installation date, and the new owner gets the rest of the original period. It applies only to film professionally installed in the way XPEL recommends, so keep the installer's invoice.

How do I verify a real XPEL-certified installer in the UK?

Search for the installer's trading name on the Find An Installer locator on xpel.com. A badge on a website or a mention on Google Maps is not proof on its own. Ask the installer which XPEL film they are quoting and for the warranty paperwork they will hand over at collection. XPEL warranty claims start with the authorised installer who fitted the film.

What is the difference between XPEL Ultimate Plus and XPEL Stealth?

Ultimate Plus is a clear gloss film. XPEL lists it at 8 mil thick. Stealth has a satin finish that gives gloss paint a matte look. XPEL says its film can self-heal minor scratches and swirls, and both films carry the same ten-year warranty. The choice is mainly about the finish you want.

Does XPEL PPF cover stone chip damage?

Paint protection film is fitted to take stone chips and road debris so the paint underneath does not. The XPEL warranty is about defects in the film itself, such as yellowing, cracking, blistering and delaminating. It is not insurance for the paint, so ask the installer what happens if the film is damaged by an impact.

How much does an XPEL Ultimate Plus front-end install cost in the UK?

It depends on the car, the panels covered and the installer. Our PPF cost guide uses prices published by UK installers; get two or three quotes for your car and check that each one names the same film and the same panels.

The most visible PPF brand in the UK, largely because of how tightly XPEL polices its installer programme. The certified-installer network is genuinely curated — names get removed for sloppy work. Ultimate Plus is the film most premium installers will quote you by default.

The warranty, honestly

10-year warranty is on the film itself (yellowing, cracking, delamination) and is transferable to one subsequent owner, but voids on poor application — which is why XPEL pushes the certified-installer route so hard.

How to verify an installer

Cross-check the installer's name on the official XPEL UK locator (xpel.com/locate). Website badges and Google Maps mentions are not certification.
